COVID-19 Vaccinations

COVID Boosters

At Portishead Medical Group we are supporting the NHS program to provide booster vaccinations to people in groups 1-9 (over 50s, health and social care workers and those with a health condition that puts them at high risk of getting seriously ill from COVID-19).

If you have missed your first or second dose, these can also be booked via the National Booking Service

Please note that due to differing delivery schedules we will be offering flu and covid vaccinations in separate clinics

Under 50s / other groups:

If you are in a group that has recently become eligible for a booster vaccination please contact the National Booking Service to book into a vaccination clinic.

The GrabaJab website shows all pop-up and walk-in clinics in our local area

Vaccination for eligible 12-15 year olds

Clinically Compromised or living with someone who is immuno-suppressed:

12-15 year olds are now eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccination if they are classed as clinically compromised or they are living with someone who is immuno-supressed.

Please login to the online booking system (click here) to book an appointment that is suitable for you.

Please note – as the surgery administering the vaccine may not be your usual surgery, details of the child being immunised will need to be shared with the vaccinating site at the point of booking. This will be for the purposes of booking and administering the vaccine only.

All other 12-15 year olds:

Healthy 12-15 year olds are able to book a booster vaccination via the National Booking Service or receive one in school.

NHS COVID-19 Vaccine Passports

In the last few weeks, we have seen an increase in queries from our patients regarding vaccine passports, unfortunately we are unable to help with this.

If you have been vaccinated in England, Wales or Scotland, your vaccine passport is available via the NHS COVID pass.

We understand there is a national issue with some vaccinations not showing up in the app. If you are affected by this issue, please call 119 and they will be able to help you.

If you were vaccinated outside of England, Wales or Scotland, there is currently no way to access a vaccine passport via the NHS COVID pass. The government have not yet published any details about when this will be possible.
