I studied medicine at the University of Bristol, graduating in 2005. Following this I worked in various hospital trusts and GP surgeries across the Bristol, Somerset and Gloucestershire area, completing my core medical training in 2009 and GP training in 2012.
I worked as a salaried GP for 5 years at Old School Surgery in Fishponds, whilst also having my 2 children, then moved to Portishead Medical Group in 2019.
I have a particular interest in Women's health and I am qualified to fit contraceptive coils and implants. I also enjoy general medicine, teaching and research.
I became a partner in 2021 and take a lead role in Cancer care, Contraception and Research within the practice. I am a mentor to some of our fantastic salaried GPs, and Mary Edmunds, our lovely ANP. I have recently qualified as GP trainer and I am hoping to welcome a new GP trainee to the practice soon.
Outside of work, I enjoy swimming, tennis and spending time with my family, usually watching my son play cricket or my daughter in performing arts.
